Food Microbiology
Within the Food and Veterinary Laboratory, the Food Microbiology Sector has started working since March 1, 2010. The Food Microbiology Laboratory is responsible for conducting laboratory tests in the microbiological aspect. According to the Food Law 03/L-016, the mandate of the laboratory is to test food products of animal origin, including the criteria of Safety and Hygiene and animal feed.
The Food Microbiology Sector is accredited according to ISO 17025:2005.
Our mission is to protect consumer health from the risk of microbiological agents through testing on microbiological parameters in accordance with legislation and criteria.
